Skin-tone & dataset pipelines

Skin-tone and undertone analysis, a custom Monk Skin Tone detection system, and model-ready image data workflows.

  • AI inference
  • AI training

The context

Computer-vision applications need consistent image inputs and a clear data preparation process. This work combined skin-tone/undertone analysis with preprocessing, normalization, transformation, and labeling preparation.

My contribution

  • Developed skin-tone and undertone analysis pipelines, including a custom Monk Skin Tone detection system.
  • Built an end-to-end image dataset workflow for preprocessing, normalization, and transformation.
  • Prepared data for labeling and downstream model workflows.

Challenges & solutions

Preparing image data for downstream AI workflows.

Created a structured pipeline for preprocessing, normalization, transformation, and labeling preparation.

Integrating skin-tone analysis into a larger workflow.

Developed custom detection and analysis stages alongside the dataset preparation process.
